Aggressive Dose/Improvement of Health Dose Brewing Instructions in Metric
To Brew 4 Liters of tea (typical size brew; lasts 10-11 days on aggressive dose):
Boil 4 liters of distilled water or spring water in a large pot.
Add 113 grams of essiac herbs.
Simmer for ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
Leave tea in pot, turn heat off, and let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least twelve hours.
Pour the tea into a container and refrigerate (spring water container or glass bottle).
Note: Do not brew essiac tea to keep on hand for longer than 2 weeks. It may spoil after 2 weeks. Try cutting the water used and the amount of herbs in half if you have some left over after 2 weeks. Always adjust the amount you brew at a time accordingly.

Essiac Tea Dosage Recommendations in Metric
Brewing essiac tea in metric is easy and convenient with our handy guide!
Take your essiac tea on an empty stomach for best results. This means: Avoid eating for 2 hours before taking essiac. Avoid eating for 1 hour after taking essiac.
Example: Wake up and take essiac at 7am (you weren't eating while sleeping). You can then eat at 8am. You can take essiac again at 10am. You can then eat at 11am. Etc. If you eat slowly, please adjust accordingly (when you finish your last bite, that is when the 2 hour count should start).
Dose Instructions
If you have cancer or another illness, we recommend that you take 270 mL of tea per day, divided into three 90-mL doses.
If you are currently being treated with chemotherapy and/or radiation, we recommend that you take 270-540 mL of tea per day, divided into three 90-180 mL doses.
If you are simply trying to maintain good health, take 90 mL once or twice per day.
Other Essiac Taking Tips
Do not brew essiac tea more than two weeks ahead: it will stay good for about 14 days, but after that you should make a fresh batch of tea.
If you do not like the taste, you may mix essiac tea with fruit or vegetable juice. Most people consume essiac tea cold.
